Support for retired police officers

Back in 1890, Flint House was established to look after injured or convalescing police officers. So, today, if you meet our retiree eligibility criteria, we are there to help with physical and mental health support.

Help and Heal at Flint House

With pressures on the NHS and the cost of private physiotherapy, we are an alternative. Whether it’s a new injury, post-operative rehabilitation, physiotherapy for cancer or long-standing back or knee pain – we are here to help you recover. We have a mental health support programme specifically aimed at retired officers, which includes exclusive sessions on how to deal with stress, anxiety and depression.

"What they did here would have taken 6-8 weeks on the National Health"Retired Officer

"I never thought I'd suffer from mental health. I realised I was suffering with anxiety and was finally diagnosed with it. I came to Flint House and I am on the road to recovery, and no longer having therapy. I really am in a much happier, stronger place. We need to look after each other beyond retirement, and the biggest investment you could have is in yourself. "Retired officer

"Having Flint House available after I retired has given me real of peace of mind. It was really helpful with some amazing physiotherapy I couldn’t get quickly on the NHS after my hip operation so I was back and out playing golf much faster than the doctors thought I would be."Retired officer
