We are currently looking to recruit a Bar Assistant to join our Catering Team.

JOB PURPOSE

  • Reporting to the Bar Supervisor, you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the bar and lounge areas, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for the patients.
  • Preparing and serving drinks, maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, handling transactions and managing inventory.

Hours of work: 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 3pm – 11pm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing an excellent customer service by welcoming and greeting patients in a friendly and courteous manner, ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure agreed standards of service are maintained in all areas and the patients are treated in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Preparing and serving drinks, following standard recipes and procedures, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Handling cash and credit card transactions accurately and processing payments in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including the storage, preparation and service areas, and adhering to all food and safety regulations.
  • Ensure any accidents are reported and an accident form is completed if necessary.
  • Stocking and replenishing bar & vending machine supplies, ensuring inventory levels are maintained at all times, and assisting with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking.

We are currently looking to recruit Housekeeping Assistants to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Hours of Work:

Tuesday to Friday 7am – 3pm and Saturday 7am – 1pm, 35.5 hours per week

Purpose

To provide a first class housekeeping cleaning service through the delivery of daily, weekly, priority and periodic deep cleaning schedules as requested by the Housekeeping Management team and ensuring this is delivered in line with our policies, procedures and appropriate legislation.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Carrying out the cleaning of designated areas, which includes emptying bins, sanitising, vacuuming, cleaning walls, floors, washroom areas. Able to make beds and replenish stocks or clean any other areas as listed on the cleaning schedules
  • Ensuring that the quality standards for cleanliness and hygiene of each designated area achieved and maintained in line with departmental procedures.
  • Organisation of both the cleaning and linen stores, ensuring adequate stock levels
  • Working in line with department Health and Safety procedures

  • Cultivate and steward relationships with existing donors through personalized communications, meetings, events, and recognition opportunities to ensure donor satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify and research prospective donors, including major gift prospects, corporate partners, and grant-making organizations, and develop cultivation and solicitation plans to secure their support.

Flint House Police Rehabilitation is a registered Charity offering rehabilitation services to ill or injured serving and retired police officers suffering from a wide variety of physical and mental health conditions. Every year we treat over 3,000 police officers. Located just outside Goring on Thames and set in 20 acres of ancient woodland, there are two main buildings on a single site – Flint House and Flint Fold.

We are currently looking to recruit a Bank Dining Room Assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals.

 Hours of Work: The hours will be between Monday and Friday dependent on Flint House requirements and would be agreed in advance. There would be no obligation on either side to do a set amount of days or hours

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining dining elegance by ensuring that the dining experience for both patients and staff is impeccable. This includes promptly clearing tables of used cutlery, crockery, and glassware, loading dirty glasses into the glasswasher, and meticulously inspecting the cleanliness of items before resetting tables
  • Demonstrate finesse in table preparation. Prior to each service, guarantee that every place setting has been meticulously cleaned and sanitised for a flawless presentation.
  • Ensure all areas where food and beverages are served are kept clean and tidy. Assisting patients when required
  • Contribute to the immaculate condition of the dining and communal areas of the facility, such as the Flint House, Time Tunnel Lounge, Flint Fold Lounge, and Kitchen
  • Execute daily cleaning tasks within the Dining Room area including cleaning fridges, mirrors, window sills, radiators and vacuuming
  • Ensure any accidents are reported to the Manager and report any faults of equipment to the Manager

Located just outside Goring on Thames in our beautiful Flint House and set in 20 acres of ancient woodland, this newly created role will play a crucial role in developing the fundraising team and implementing fundraising strategies to support our mission and ensure the financial sustainability of the Charity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans and strategies to achieve revenue targets and support the Flint House strategic plan and mission.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, major donors, corporate partners, foundations, and other potential supporters.
  • Plan and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage donors and raise awareness of the charity’s mission.
  • Write compelling grant proposals, solicitation letters, and other fundraising materials to secure funding from foundations and grant-making organizations.
  • Work to create effective fundraising campaigns and materials, including digital and print collateral, social media content, and email campaigns.
  • Manage donor stewardship and recognition programs to ensure donors feel valued and engaged with the organization.
  • Utilize donor management software / databases to track donor interactions, manage donor information, and analyse fundraising data.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on fundraising activities, goals, and outcomes to the Executive Team and Trustees.
  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in fundraising, philanthropy, and non-profit management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Manage a team that supports our donor engagement and communications strategy.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management, business administration, marketing, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in non-profit fundraising, development, or related field, with a proven track record of success in meeting fundraising goals and securing major gifts – annual fundraising income of upward of £1 million.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate the charity’s mission and impact to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals, grant proposals, and other donor communications.

Holiday: 36 days p.a. rising by 1 every 5 years to a maximum of 41 days – office closed between Christmas and New Year
