A Sunny Visit for DAC Boon
We were happy to welcome Deputy Assistant Commissioner Alexis Boon, QPM and his staff officer, Inspector Jen Stockwell from the Metropolitan Police Service to Flint House this week.
The sun was shining for their visit, which saw them meet with our Chief Finance Officer, Ian Lillistone, before touring the Physical Rehabilitation facilities and meeting the Mental Health Programme team with Clinical Director Ian Barron.
Both DAC Boon and Inspector Stockwell have previously visited the rehabilitation programmes at Flint House but this week gave them the chance to see the breadth of the facilities available to support officers. This included the gym spaces, hydro pool, swimming pool, physio and rehab spaces, mental health lodge and the beautiful grounds.
Two of our Flint House Ambassadors, Darren Laurie and James Sarson, also from the Met, joined the visit to talk about their personal experiences with Flint House and how important it is for officers to know about the rehabilitation programmes available throughout their careers and into retirement.
We look forward to continuing to work closely with DAC Boon’s office to increase awareness and engagement with Flint House Police Rehabilitation throughout the Met.
