Treatment

In 2011 over 3,360 officers were treated at Flint House.  Each passing year sees an increase in admissions with 2012 expected to be the same. The extra 14 bedrooms in Flint Fold that came on line in 2011 with a further 11 rooms to come, coupled with the expanded physiotherapy facility are expected to equip the centre for this demand for the foreseeable future.

The main goal and focus of the medical teams at the Centre is to quickly assist officers in returning to full health and fitness.

After careful individual assessment each officer is given their own programme of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Treatments include: Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Stress Counselling, General Nursing Care, Acupuncture, Health Classes, Sleep Relaxation, Aromatherapy and Therapeutic Massage.

Acknowledged with an ‘Excellent’ rating by the Care Quality Commission, Flint House is highly regarded by all officers who have received care at the Centre.
